Incubator

Beyond Profit powers the Cambridge Student Social Enterprise Incubator

http://www.cambridgesocialincubator.org

For the first time in Cambridge, the Cambridge Student Social Enterprise Incubator offers all the support students need to get their social enterprises off the ground. From initial inspiration to scaling up your project, the Incubator supports students and recent graduates throughout the process of social enterprise creation. A comprehensive programme of events, funding, training, inspiration and mentoring.

The Incubator is designed and organised to allow you to create your own programme of tailored support based on your stage of social enterprise involvement and experience. You can choose from a broad range of events and opportunities, hosted by various societies from across the university and beyond. These are grouped into four stages of successful social enterprise creation, to help you work out what is most relevant for you. These are:

1. Imagination - From inspirational speaker events to idea generation workshops, activities in this stream will introduce you to social enterprise and help you come up with that initial brilliant idea.

2. Feasibility - Feasibility is all about getting your idea off the ground, from developing the perfect social business model and business plan to engaging with stakeholders. Training sessions, mentoring and social enterprise drop-in clinics are all available to help you work out exactly what is needed to turn your inspiration into action and to give you the skills to do so.

3. Realisation - Running a project involves a diverse range of activities, and the support on offer at this stage is designed to correlate with this, with a wide range of training sessions and events. Tailored advice, funding, mentorship and networking will help you to access the perfect level of support for you and your project, to help your monitor your impact and improve operations.

4. Acceleration - As you look to consolidate and scale up your social enterprise, the Incubator can connect you to networks, events, funding and further opportunities on a local and national level to facilitate successful growth, raise your profile and increase your impact.

The Incubator is powered by Beyond Profit, Cambridge Hub and the University of Cambridge, in collaboration with an even broader range of societies: Enactus, CUE and the Humanitarian Centre. As such, we can provide or signpost you to the perfect level of support to make your enterprise a success.
